Alexis Nicolas
Alexis Nicolas, also known as “Barboza”, is a French kickboxer currently signed to ONE Championship. A professional competitor since 2021, he holds the title of ISKA World Super Middleweight K-1 champion and is the former ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion. In May 2024, he was ranked the third best men’s welterweight kickboxer in the world by Beyond Kickboxing, and No. 1 welterweight by Combat Press.
Born to a Haitian father and an Algerian mother, Alexis started practicing Savate Boxing at the age of 14. His dedication to the sport paid off as he has become a six-time French champion, a two-time world champion, and a European champion once. In 2021, he won the FISav Savate world title. Following that victory, Nicolas made the decision to transition to kickboxing and K1, where he quckly made his mark.
After joining ONE Championship in 2023, Alexis claimed the ONE Championship title in the -77 kg division in April 2024, extending his undefeated streak to an incredible 24-0 after an impressive victory over Regian Eersel, the dominant fighter in the category, who had been unbeated for eight years.
