Aby Gaye is a 25-year-old professional basketball player. She is considered as one of the biggest potential for the French National Team as a center.

Aby started playing basketball at the age of 12. She quickly joined the Regional Youth Center after being passing through the club of Orly. At 15 she integrated the French Youth Academy. Aby won several titles with the Youth French National Team. She is twice European Champion (2012 and 2014) and World runner-up (2013).

In 2013, Aby discovered the Elite pro section with the club of Toulouse Métropole Basketball. Two years later, she signed for the club of Villeneuve d’Ascq and played a leading role in the French Championship. She was EuroCup runner-up in 2016 and won the French championship title in 2017. In spite of this she decided to integrate the club of Tarbes with which she was France runner-up in 2018. Since 2019, Aby is playing in Landes Basketball club.

Concurrently with her sporting career, Aby is following Political Sciences studies in Paris. As a civilian, Aby is a woman of conviction since her childhood. She created a philanthropic initiative named Terang’Aby which aim is to educate and raise awareness of young Senegalese women through sport.
